18th Spell: [Video/Action for Route 36]

[friendyousohard]

[The gear clicks on to show what looks like a room out of an old, rustic cabin, a fairly small one with two benches on the sides, next to windows. Three girls are lounging around in it and four backpacks litter the floor. The view holds there for a few moments... long enough to tell that the "room" is moving.]

I have to admit, this really did work out quite well.

[The gear turns around to show off Twilight's smiling face.]

Amazing what you can put together with a little teamwork, isn't it? I'm still not sure how we'll get this thing over some of the terrain Johto and Kanto have to offer, not to mention traveling between regions, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, as the saying goes.

At any rate, we're about to make our stop so I can show the outside- [Twilight's interrupted by a sudden whinny from outside.] What the... Dash! What's going on?

[There's a bit of a clamor as she shoves herself up to one of the windows along with the gear (and, judging by the noises, all of the other girls as well) and the resultant view of the outside shows a small group of Yanma buzzing by, clearly agitated by the giant intruder in their midst.]

... Well, I should have expected this thing would draw some extra attention. Sorry everyone, I'll have to finish what I was saying later.

[She clicks off the feed.]

[OOC: So, Applejack decided a while ago that the pony group needed a wagon, so she built one! (With mod permission, of course.) This is its first journey, and Twilight will be showing the rest thing off after they deal with their little infestation. Questions about it will be fielded mostly by either Twi or AJ.]

After the yanma shenanigans

[Applejack shakes her head, smiling through the redness in her cheeks. She sits down on the roof of the wagon, cradling one of her eggs in her lap.]

Sorry I wasn't much help out there, Sugarcube...

[Twilight just plops down next to her and shrugs nonchalantly.]

Well, that's what happens when you buy enough eggs to make a whole new team and then some. Don't worry too much about it, we got through okay. And I got a new Pokemon out of it.

[She won't be able to do anything about said Yanma until they reach Ecruteak, but that's fine. She's got a lot on her plate already anyway.]

Our teams just keep growin'. I just hope I built the wagon big enough. [She chuckles.]

That reminds me, exactly how many people did you have in mind when you designed this? Just us four, or were you thinking some of the others might join us here too?

With the bed on the roof, it'll sleep six of us. We could probably fit eight if two of us sleep on the floor, too.

So as long as we don't get all of us, the Crusaders, and our big brothers or the Princesses, we should be okay.

[Though honestly, Twilight would kind of like that.]

Then again, if Mac and Shining show up we could probably make another one relatively easily with their help.

I wanted it t'be big enough for at least the six of us, while not bein' too heavy for the pokey-mon to be pullin' all day. If our party really gets that big, then we can always split up the work between two wagons.

[And part of her really hopes so many ponies do show up.]

Now I can't help but picture us getting all of our friends from home and here and getting together in a huge wagon convoy. It'd be like going back to the frontier to visit your cousin all over again.

This trip just keeps gettin' better an' better, don't you think?

I can't argue with you there. This wagon was an absolutely brilliant idea on your part. What made you think of it, anyway?

When I saw Rainbow ridin' her ponyta around, and how happy it was t'do the job, I thought maybe we could use a little pony-power t'help us get around. We're makin' great time to Ecruteak, too!

[friendyousohard]

That is absolutely true. We wouldn't even be halfway this far if it weren't for the wagon. I bet it'll be even faster once we catch some others that would work for the job.

[buckyouup]

An' here I was worried you'd suggest I get out an' pull it myself. [She teases, giving her friend a nudge.]

If I were going to suggest that, I'd at least have the decency to suggest switching off.

... Though you'd have to deal with it being slower on my and Fluttershy's turns. We just wouldn't be able to put the muscle into it that you and Rainbow can.

I reckon we should leave the heavy liftin' to the pokey-mon. I could pull this wagon all day if I still had my pony body...

[friendyousohard]

Yeah, but what can you do? At least we have Dash to help us along.

I suppose. I just don't think I'll ever get used t'bein' this weak. I can't do half a' what I could back home, an' I get tired doin' it.

[Remember that whole self-conscious talk, Twilight? Yeah.]

I know what you mean. The loss of my magic still galls me even after over a year here.

[She sighs deeply and just kind of stares off into space.]

If it weren't for the Pokemon I think I might have gone crazy trying to deal with it.

[buckyouup]

You're still plenty talented, Twilight, even without your magic.

[She puts a hand on her dear friend's shoulder.]

Thank you, Applejack.

And you're still unbelievably strong, durable, and reliable, even without your Earth Pony traits. So don't start thinking otherwise on me, alright?

[buckyouup]

I'll try, but it'd be real nice if somepony reminded me every once in a while. [She snickers.]

[friendyousohard]

Wait, you mean I almost let a day go by without saying anything? By Luna's stars, Applejack, why didn't you bring it up?

[She holds an appalled face for a few seconds...

Before just cracking up.]

[She gives her the gentlest of shoves, laughing, herself.]

My memory's still a bit jumbled up. Who knows how many compliments I've forgotten.

I'll let Fluttershy know. She'll make sure they're all you can remember after a few days.

[Because Fluttershy gushing over AJ will never not be adorable... unless she does it on the roof again.]

[Her cheeks redden slightly at that joke.]
