18th Spell: [Video/Action for Route 36]

[friendyousohard]

[The gear clicks on to show what looks like a room out of an old, rustic cabin, a fairly small one with two benches on the sides, next to windows. Three girls are lounging around in it and four backpacks litter the floor. The view holds there for a few moments... long enough to tell that the "room" is moving.]

I have to admit, this really did work out quite well.

[The gear turns around to show off Twilight's smiling face.]

Amazing what you can put together with a little teamwork, isn't it? I'm still not sure how we'll get this thing over some of the terrain Johto and Kanto have to offer, not to mention traveling between regions, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, as the saying goes.

At any rate, we're about to make our stop so I can show the outside- [Twilight's interrupted by a sudden whinny from outside.] What the... Dash! What's going on?

[There's a bit of a clamor as she shoves herself up to one of the windows along with the gear (and, judging by the noises, all of the other girls as well) and the resultant view of the outside shows a small group of Yanma buzzing by, clearly agitated by the giant intruder in their midst.]

... Well, I should have expected this thing would draw some extra attention. Sorry everyone, I'll have to finish what I was saying later.

[She clicks off the feed.]

[OOC: So, Applejack decided a while ago that the pony group needed a wagon, so she built one! (With mod permission, of course.) This is its first journey, and Twilight will be showing the rest thing off after they deal with their little infestation. Questions about it will be fielded mostly by either Twi or AJ.]

I suppose. I just don't think I'll ever get used t'bein' this weak. I can't do half a' what I could back home, an' I get tired doin' it.

[Remember that whole self-conscious talk, Twilight? Yeah.]

I know what you mean. The loss of my magic still galls me even after over a year here.

[She sighs deeply and just kind of stares off into space.]

If it weren't for the Pokemon I think I might have gone crazy trying to deal with it.

[buckyouup]

You're still plenty talented, Twilight, even without your magic.

[She puts a hand on her dear friend's shoulder.]

Thank you, Applejack.

And you're still unbelievably strong, durable, and reliable, even without your Earth Pony traits. So don't start thinking otherwise on me, alright?

[buckyouup]

I'll try, but it'd be real nice if somepony reminded me every once in a while. [She snickers.]

[friendyousohard]

Wait, you mean I almost let a day go by without saying anything? By Luna's stars, Applejack, why didn't you bring it up?

[She holds an appalled face for a few seconds...

Before just cracking up.]

[She gives her the gentlest of shoves, laughing, herself.]

My memory's still a bit jumbled up. Who knows how many compliments I've forgotten.

I'll let Fluttershy know. She'll make sure they're all you can remember after a few days.

[Because Fluttershy gushing over AJ will never not be adorable... unless she does it on the roof again.]

[Her cheeks redden slightly at that joke.]

Sh-she does like doin' that, doesn't she?

I was under the impression that pretty much comes with the territory when you're in a relationship.

[buckyouup]

[And now she reddens more. This is the first time anyone's recognized her and Fluttershy as a couple. At least that she remembers.]

I-I ain't sure what we are, right now...

[friendyousohard]

... Oh.

[Well, that's awkward.]

I thought... You two were... again. [She's so unsure what to say that she's dropping words.]

[buckyouup]

N-not yet. I asked her if we can... take things slow.

[She leans back, hiding her face behind the brim of her hat.]

I don't think I can give her the care she needs while I'm still missin' so much of my memory here.

[friendyousohard]

Ah, yes, I suppose that... does make sense.

[Well jeez, now she just feels all kinds of awkward.]

Have you... remembered anything else, since she told you?

I thought I had a dream a few nights ago about her nearly flingin' herself off the top of a building sayin' how much she loves me.

Oh. Yeah, that was last Valentine's. The Pokemon or... something got into her head and amplified her feelings to levels that made it seem like she'd been doped with heavy levels of Love Poison. That was kind of scary, actually.

[buckyouup]

You're tellin' me. It's real nice that she wants t'tell people how she feels about me, but there's safer ways t'do it.

[Still, she's starting to understand the whole "people act weird on Valentine's Day" thing is actually pretty normal.]

Fortunately, I don't think we have to worry about that happening again unless another group of Pokemon start playing with everyone's minds.

[And Twilight will be forever grateful for that.]

[buckyouup]

I like my mind right where it is, thank you. I'd rather not suddenly feel like jumpin' off a building, or kissin' somepony, just because some critter feels like havin' fun.

[friendyousohard]

Ah... [She flushes a bit, but just nods.] Right, exactly. I don't know who's idea of "celebrating" that is, but it sure isn't mine.

[buckyouup]

I mean, that pokey-mon should at least have the decency to make you ask me t'dinner first.

[She grins.]

[friendyousohard]

[Okay now she's completely red.]

A-Applejack! That was an accident!

[buckyouup]

I know, Sugarcube. I'm just havin' fun. Does it really bother you that much?

[friendyousohard]

Well, I just... Kind of? I don't know, it just feels so awkward remembering it. Kissing in general is just... completely outside my experience.
