24th Spell: [Video]

Why is there no map for this place... You know, I think that's a project that really needs to be undertaken. Maps of all the various caaaaaaaaa- oof!

[Stepping onto one of the ice-covered floors that covers the ice path, Twilight is interrupted by suddenly slipping and sliding all the way over to the wall on the opposite side, which she crashes headlong into.]

Urgh... that was unpleasant. Alright, just need to pay a bit more attention, let's tryyyyyyy- argh!

[Another step has her legs slipping straight out from under her, and she slides across to another corner of the room on her knees, face first. After a highly unpleasant sounding crash, she lets out a low groan and slides down the wall until she's face down, making highly unhappy noises.]

I. Hate. This. Cave.

[As if to add insult to injury, the Pokemon who's been holding the gear this whole time proceeds to step out onto the ice and easily slide its way over to its hapless trainer, holding out the gear.]

What? Oh just... just shut it off, Champ. I don't even want to worry about that map idea until I'm out of this place, now. Oh, my head...

I don't know if we're comin' or goin'. This place is a maze.

[She'll do her best to try and help Twilight up, but she's not exactly stable, herself.]

[She's a bit nervous about even taking AJ's hand in their current state, truth be told.]

A maze where it's difficult to even pause and get your bearings, at that.

[She manages to shift into a sitting position so she can take a look around.]

Hmmm... we do have a compass with us, right?

I thought Rainbow had it.

If we don't even have a compass to help us find our way, I am going to be seriously annoyed.

[Right, Twi, because that's not your current state at all.]

[She gives a sheepish grin.]

Well, let's not worry 'bout that, now. We've been at this for a while. How 'bout we make camp somewhere an' eat?

As soon as we can get ourselves off this ice. The last thing I want is for our gear to go sliding away from us.

[sitdownbecider]

Alright. Which way should we head?

[friendyousohard]

[She ponders that for a moment, then points towards a nearby slope.]

There. We'll climb to the top and make camp up there.

[sitdownbecider]

Alright. I'll go first, that way I can catch you if you slip. Then I'll boost you up.

[friendyousohard]

Good plan. I definitely need the support.

[She manages a wry little chuckle at her own ungainliness on ice, and extends a hand to hold onto AJ's while they move.]

I'll try not to pull you down with me.

[sitdownbecider]

If worse comes t'worse, just stand still an' I'll pull you.

[She takes a slow, careful step, her hand keeping a tight grip on Twilight's.]

That's beginning to look like it might be the best plan.

[She sighs bitterly, but at least the slow attempts at walking aren't causing her to pitch forward again. Yet.]

I'd just carry you if I wasn't so unsure of my own legs.

[Almost there, just take another slow step.]

Do you think one of our Pokemon might have an easier time, maybe? One with good balance and enough strength to carry us?

Y'mean like Dozer? He'd be right at home in a place like this.

Sure, if we want to get trampled and crushed, and probably cause a cave-in.

[Eye rolling. So. Hard.]

[She smiles.]

Sorry, Sugarcube. I ain't sure any of my other pokemon would be helpful right now.

Well, it was a thought. Maybe I should look into what sorts of Pokemon would work for that.
