About walking, even for humans it takes a while to get used to it during childhood. It takes some practice, I'm certain you will get used to it in no time if you practice.

Nobody really knows how it happens or why, just that people are brought here from different worlds, and sometimes even from different points in time than people from their own worlds.

About how many of us there are I am not quite sure, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to find we are in the lower hundreds. Many people come and go, so it's difficult to give an exact number.
