6th Spell: [Video/Action for Ecruteak]

[Twilight's standing in front of Ecruteak's gym as she turns on her gear, grinning one of those smiles that just refuses to go down.]

I've heard of a lot of things that you "always remember your firsts" of. I think everyone has something like that. Big events have a way of leaving an impression on your mind, after all, especially if you've never done anything like them before.

[She holds up a little something before the camera.]



I wonder if this'll fall into that category.

Hey, that gives me a thought. Who out there remembers their first gym victory? Any good stories? Did you have a good fight, or did you just steamroll the leader? Did you win your first time? Did you plan everything out before you came into the gym or just wing it? Anything you want to share would be fun to hear.

And on a completely different note, does anyone know where I can get a Munchlax egg? I've been reviewing my team and I could really use a tough normal type.

Name's Marui! I could breed you one, but you'll have to find me a Ditto. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but Yagyuu's away at the moment.

Oh, it's good to hear from you so quickly! That's right, I'm looking for a Munchlax egg. If it's a Ditto you need, I have good news. My friend Fluttershy has one, and I'm sure she'd be willing to help.

Oh, great! I just got back to Goldenrod, though, is your friend in the area? Traveling won't be a problem for me though!

We're both in Ecruteak, actually, and we were planning on heading south to Violet very soon. We could meet on one of the routes in the middle, if you're willing.

Sure, no problem. When do you want to meet? I could fly there any time.

Well, I was thinking of heading out of Ecruteak sometime tomorrow. Depending on which route you wanted to meet at... Oh, no, that won't work, will it? Pokemon can only fly to Pokemon Centers, right?

Oh- my bad, guess I wasn't listening all that well. I thought we'd be meeting in Violet!

Route 36 sound good? It's just in the middle of Violet, Goldenrod and Ecruteak.

No, no, it's not your fault. I wasn't clear enough. I was thinking it would be a bit too much to ask you to go that far out of your way...

But Route 36 sounds perfect! We can meet right where the Sudowoodo usually hang around.

Sounds good to me, miss! I'll meet you there in a few days, then. It takes a while to reach the Sudowoodo crossing from Ecruteak.

No problem! There needs to be more Snorlaxes and Munchlaxes anyway. Don't think I've met anyone else who's had one. They're really great, too!

I'm really surprised to hear that. I suppose they're probably rather difficult to care for, what with their appetites, but they seem like they'd be very useful, particularly for any teams that need a bit of defense in them.

From what I can tell, there isn't a lot out here with a Snorlax. They're the best Normal-type out there, if you ask me!

But yeah. When they start out as a Munchlax, they pretty much put everything in their mouth. Had to replace my 'Gear a few times because of it. I don't know how Puchi manages to not have a bad stomach from all the things he eats, haha! But he's all grown up now. All he does is sleep most of the day, when I don't have him out for a battle.

I'll keep an eye on my Pokegear, then. And... everything else, since it sounds like nothing's safe from their stomachs.

Haha! Yeah, that's a good idea. But if you want to keep them occupied, give them anything with honey. When Puchi was still a Munchlax, he'd be happy all day with just a jar of honey. Just make sure they won't eat the jar, too.

Beyond that, though, they're great companions. And a great fluffy pillow, if you're out camping.

... This is completely changing the subject, but how do they even get honey in this world? You don't... you don't think they take it from Beedrill, do you?

[This is a terrifying thought.]

Oh, no, not from the Beedrill, but from Combee! They're the nicer Bee-type pokemon.

Ohhhh, yes, that does make a lot more sense.

... That's still a pretty enormous bee though.
