26th Spell [Video]
So, we're in the first week of the new month and we'll probably be getting new people for a while... and it's occurred to me that there's something about that I've been thinking about for some time now, but have never really addressed.
[Twilight folds her arms a bit, frowning in consideration at the screen.]
Most of us ought to know by now about the helpful guide that Riku, the owner of the training center and the new breeding center, wrote about this world some time ago. It's still a useful resource despite needing some updating, and it's where I got the seed of my idea, but it's a bit... oversized for a newcomer, no offense Riku.
Is there a way to maybe... [She pauses a moment to grope for words.] Create some sort of collective document where we all put in our thoughts on what a new arrival should know about this world right away? Something simple and straightforward, that gives them a grounding point for their first few days. I always worry I've forgotten to mention something important when I talk to someone new, and I think that's a problem we all share. This could fix that, and give them a bit of a leg up in adapting to this world. And as long as we all know about it we can be sure someone's going to show it to them when they arrive.
It might not seem like much, but if you think back on how we all felt when we first arrived, I think most of us would have really liked something like that to at least be available.

Riku may have started the Training Center, but there's way more to us than just him.
Plus we totally help newbies.

That is so far from the point that I'm wondering if you missed it deliberately.
[She sighs, grips her hands tight, and tries to steady herself. Getting annoyed with a young girl isn't going to help anything.]
Look. If it was just a matter of telling new arrivals all the things they need to know about this world, I'd have just told everyone to link them to Riku's guide in the beginning and been done with it. But it's not that simple. Someone who arrives here doesn't want to know about what they can do in the future, they want information that's pertinent to them in the here and now. "Where am I?" "How did I get here?" "What's this animal doing following me around?" That sort of thing. The Training Center and that sort of thing can come when they're situated, not when they're still lost and confused.

[Maybe you should just invest in advertising, Kairi. But... that would require spending money.]

[In fact none of this girl's statements have made any sense to her at all.]

Lots of guides.

And really, who can blame them?

[Especially when he gets into one of his "look at how awesome I am" moods.]
That guy's head is too big for his own good.

... You seem to know him pretty well.

[Ignore the huge age gap. Time is so stupid here.]

[Smirking, smirking.]

[Do not get into a sarcasm-off with her, Kairi. You have no idea what you're getting into.]

[Just going all the way with this now.]

[Aaaaand there goes her good cheer.]
But perhaps we'll get lucky some time down the line.
no subject
[Well, she didn't expect that turn.]
You're not... alone, right?

[Stalling stalling not answering the question really stalling.]

[Well, she doesn't want to make assumptions. Maybe none of that bothers her.]
