[The view opens to a shot of the sea. Pure, pristine, gorgeous...

And apparently filled with swarms of oncoming Pokemon.]

Tesla, fire!

[A huge blast of electricity rips past Twilight into the sea, striking all the nearby swarming fossil Pokemon and knocking out a good chunk of them.]

Thank Celestia for strong Electric-types... Does anyone know what's causing this? I woke up this morning and the town was practically covered in these ancient Pokemon. I've been doing my best to hold them back, as have several others, but they just keep on coming no matter what we do. Is this happening everywhere?

[A small group of Kabuto, Omanyte, and Tirtouga dare the beach again only to be zapped into unconsciousness by Tesla. The Magnezone doesn't even seem tired when Twilight turns the camera on it, though it would probably be hard to tell...]

We've been okay so far, but we can't keep this up forever. And what if they start coming from somewhere aside from-

[There's a loud cry from behind. Twilight whirls around and the shot pans up to show the top of the lighthouse-

Which is covered in Archen that have just flown down from Route 39.]

The sea. Oh horseapples.

[One of the Archen screeches as it lifts off, and the feed ends with that ominous shot.]

I just have Tesla and Spike on me for fliers. Tower, Sapphire, and Megasoma will all be very useful on the ground, but they're not going to help much in the air, and Bracer's a defender only. I think I'll leave it to guard the beach with Tesla, send Spike along with Spook and Skits to clear us a path to the lighthouse, and take the other three with me... though I'd better have Tower and Sapphire stay at the door. Those two do not belong inside.

Blossom's doin' a great job helpin' Tesla out. The two of them should do just fine outside. I'll bring Champ with me t'deal with anythin' we come across inside. Buck's slow, but he's about as strong as they come.

As for the last one...

[She looks down at the ball on her belt. Oh Celestia, does she hate reaching for that ball.]

I figured he'd be a good distraction if we got overrun.

(The screen suddenly goes above Rainbow's head to show Lightning -in mid-air, not surprisingly- and shooting a powerful Thunder that takes down an approaching group of Kabuto on her far left before the Electric-type lands in her lap.

Dash takes that moment to blink once more.) Hey, Twilight - what's a seance? Is that one of those things Pinkie does when her Pinkie Sense is acting up?

That, and it's incredibly frustrating to put so much of your life into something and to be rendered unable to use it for no good reason.

Now on that subject, I can agree with you wholeheartedly. Studying and using magic was a large part of my very reason to live back home, and while I've managed by and large to shift the focus of it onto Pokemon instead, it really isn't the same thing.

[Her Cutie Mark weeps for its lack of use.]

[A Zap Cannon and several shrieks from unhappy ancient Pokemon follows that order.]

That should keep us safe from rear attacks. Alright, AJ, I'm behind you. Go.

Sweet! Think they'd be able to contact anypony we know, like that weird old guy you dressed up as for Nightmare Night?

(The 'old guy' has a name, plus Twilight named one of her Pokemon after him.)

[She releases the massive ghost balloon from his ball. He lets out a loud, low bellow of a groan, before unleashing a torrent of thunderbolts at the Archen circling the light house.]

Trust you to be enthusiastic about that...

No, Rainbow, I'm pretty sure they're just going to be able to contact people who died in this world. Well, people and Pokemon. Which is how we get to our current problem. Also, his name is Starswirl. You know, like my Alakazam?

[Starswirl the Mustachioed!]

[Under the cover of Spook's attack, Twilight begins to run for the Lighthouse, pulling out Spike's ball as she goes.]

Spike! Take as many of them down as you can!

[The second pokeball opens up and Twilight's mighty Dragonite roars in challenge as he charged into the midst of the battle with a fierce Dragon Rush, knocking down any Archen too unfortunate to be in his way.]

Hehehe, like I trust you to have your head in books.

Ohhh, that's why these guys are running around! (Lightning leaps out of Rainbow's lap and, though it's not seen onscreen, a Thunderbolt attack is used on approaching Archen before she lands back on her shoulder.) Right - Starswirl, like how I named my Pidgeot after Soarin'?

[Their way finally clear, Applejack rushes forward, grabbing the heavy light house door with both hands. She groans, pulling it open with all her might, finally creating an entrance big enough for the two to get in.]

Quick, before any get in!

[She doesn't have to say it twice. Twilight's already scrambling to get inside to the relative safety of the lighthouse. Once they've squeezed in she turns back to reach out for the door, though she knows she'll be of minimal assistance getting it closed no matter how much effort she puts into it.]

Yes, like that. Though I'm not sure how much he'd appreciate being compared to an overgrown pigeon.

[Somewhere in Violet City, Falkner is shouting "hey!" and doesn't know why.]

At any rate, until they figure out a way to reverse the process, it looks like these things are just going to keep coming. So it's up to everyone who can fight them off to do just that. But like I said, first priority is making sure the people who can't fight are safe. That's why Cadence is staying in the inn for now.

Hehehe, it's not like I've nameed any of my other Pokemon after somepony from Equestria! What, am I gonna name my Dragonite after Fleetfoot or Spitfire?

(She nods briefly, realizing that much like Pinkie, Rarity and Spike, Cadence's Pokemon weren't nearly as high-leveled as theirs.)

Right! I'll get Pinkie, Rarity and Spike back to the Center asap before coming back out to deal with this.

Come to think of it, I think Riku has a Charizard named Spitfire. Or was that Sora... Well, that's not the point. You get them there, and get back in contact with me once they're safe, alright? I'm going to let you go so you can focus on that.

Wait a second...are you talking about Riku's shiny Charizard? Really?! (Rainbow will laugh at that for a moment or two before getting serious again.)

[The feed jolts as Spike comes to an immediate stop, looking panicked. His Gyarados and Mareep stop next to him, Raspberry letting out a menacing roar.]

[The camera swiftly changes to show an army of charging Anorith kicking up a huge amount of dust.]
