20th Spell [Video/Action for Cianwood]

Tower- Tower no!

[An enormous roar accompanies the sudden rush of sand by the lens of the Pokegear as an enormous Tyranitar begins stomping around, roaring at something that can't be seen through the sandstorm. Twilight backs up a few steps, holding her arm in front of her face as the sand threatens to blind her.]

Gah, it's everywhere... Tower, stop! It's just a-

[With another roar, the hulking monstrosity sends the object of its rage hurling over its shoulder past Twilight.]

... Tentacool.

[The hapless jellyfish is forgotten already, though, as Tower seems to have taken the opportunity to just start stomping around wildly, roaring challenges at what appears to be the world at large.]

Oh by Celestia's mane... When I get the sand out of my eyes you are going in your ball for a week!

(Rainbow blinked a moment or two, then grinned deviously at hearing Twilight's explanation and question; a number of her Pokemon had recently gone up level-wise, and she pulled out one of her Pokeballs and spun it briefly before tossing it.)

Blaze, GO! Give her your Seismic Toss!

(With Rainbow's Charizard at level 100, it was a really easy matter for Blaze to grab her, fly high in the sky and spin Tower around before throwing her to the ground hard!)

[Tower has just enough time to growl in surprise before being grabbed by Blaze and whirled through the air into the ground. She staggers from the impact, wobbling, but manages to rise up and roar in pain and fury. She slams a hand into the ground and yanks up, using her Stone Edge ability to solidify the sand into a swarm of large rocks rushing towards Blaze's body.]

No!

(Rainbow's eyes narrowed as she pointed straight at Tower, watching the Stone Edge attack solidify before calling out to her starter; Blaze had always come through for the former Pegasus, and he wouldn't let her down now!

Plus, Twilight needed her help!)

Fly up to dodge those rocks, then use Dragon Rage!

(Her eyes widened for a brief moment as Blaze was indeed hit a few times by some of the large rocks until he flew above the rest of the swarm with a loud, furious roar! Despite being in some pain, he was quite upset. He reared his head back, a ball of flame appearing in it before launching a super big Dragon Rage attack squarely at Tower's face.)

[Spike had heard all the commotion and yelling. Unfortunately, so had Pinchy, who beat his owner out there by seconds, charging straight at the enraged Tyranitar. Spike skidded to an abrupt halt when he saw the behemoth in front of them. Pinchy, completely ~~a jerkface~~ fearless, came at the Tyranitar from behind, unleashing a Sand Tomb attack. It takes Spike a second to realise exactly what’s about to happen.]

Wait, Pinchy!

STOP!

[Like his Trapinch is going to listen to him.]

[Outraged both at the fact that Blaze hadn't gone down when she pelted him with rocks and at the fire, Tower looms up ready to launch another attack at him-

When Pinchy suddenly distracts her. Her eyes turn towards the tiny little antlion and glare down at him with the fury of ten thousand suns. She opens her mouth, roars, and lifts up a foot...]

Oh Princesses no... Spike get out of there!

[And slams it down, hard, unleashing the devastating power of Earthquake. Twilight falls face-first into the sand just from the shock of the impact... and she's not even Tower's target.]

Spike?! What the hey-whoooaaaa!

(Rainbow slips and falls onto her flank as Earthquake is delivered! She's noticed her moment to shine however: as annoying as Pinchy was, this was her opportunity!)

Dash, get Spike and Pinchy out of there! Blaze, another Seismic Toss!

(She quickly tosses another Pokeball, in which a very fast shiny Rapidash appears from it and zips over to pick up Pinchy and allow Spike to get onto her back before running over -in seconds!- to where Twilight is. Blaze takes this moment to grab Tower from behind, fly her back up in the sky and spin her around and around again before throwing Tower back down to the ground...)

FIRE BLAST!

(...With an added Fire Blast, shaped to appear like a star, giving Tower much needed momentum to fall faster to the ground!)

[Pinchy smugly dodged the slower Tyranitar’s attack, but before he could jump on its foot and bite it, he was ungracefully hoisted up and dropped on to the back of Dash. It was not happy.

[In fact, it was extremely pissed off.

[Spike, having fallen ungracefully sideways from the Earthquake attack, didn’t hesitate to jump onto the Rapidash’s back before it ran over to Twilight. He hugged Pinchy, thankful he was okay.

[Pinchy wasn’t having a bar of it though. He wanted back in the fight.]

PIIIIIIIIIINCH!

[And then it bit Dash.]

[How the little antlion had managed to dodge an attack that had literally affected every other being on the ground in a who-knew-how-many-yards radius would forever be a mystery. But Tower was a bit too distracted by the following assault from Blaze to properly direct her anger at this insult to her tyrannical majesty. Dazed by the impact into the ground courtesy of Seismic Toss, she struggled to rise, lifting her head for one last roar...

Before the Fire Blast struck her back, finally driving her into the ground and ending her reign of terror. The sandstorm finally died down as she fainted.]

Oh thank Celestia... Spike, are you hurt? Are- What is he doing to Dash?

Hahaha, alright! Great job, Blaze...HEY! What's that annoying little ant Pokemon doing to my Dash?!

(Rainbow was in disbelief as she watched Dash rear back on her hind legs, neigh loudly in undisguised pain and fury...and the flames on her back? Started getting immensely hotter! It was a well known fact that Ponyta and Rapidash didn't burn those who they truly trusted, and Pinchy had just cost himself the Fire type's trust.)

Aw, geez! Spike, get off her back right now!

[Spike was frantically trying to plead with Pinchy and pull him off the poor horse pokemon as she reared, but Pinchy had a death grip.]

Come ON Pinchy! Stop! Pretty please!

[Spike yelped as his hands started to blister on Dash’s mane and he fell ungracefully off the back of the flaming, rearing horse, landing painfully on his shoulder, his hands red raw. Pinchy, however, stayed on. No way was he letting go of this stupid horse pokemon for interrupting his fight!]

Spike!

[Running over to check on her poor beleagured assistant, Twi knelt down to look at his hands.]

Oh geez, these need to be treated, quickly. Just hang on a moment, alright? I've had enough of this.

[Standing up and turning to the firecorn-pinchybug duo, Twilight glared in determination and lifted up a new pokeball. Pressing the button, she unleashed her left hand, Starswirl the Mustachioed.]

Starswirl. Telekinesis.

[Wrapping the little biting machine in psychic energy, Starswirl gave a quick mental yank, forcing its jaws open and lifting it off Dash's flank like a person would pluck a tick. The Alakazam scoffed at the trivial task and floated Pinchy over in front of his face, but quite far enough away that it couldn't retaliate, folding his arms and staring the hapless antlion down. A telepathic voice asked of the group:]

Is that all?

Spike!

(Rainbow barely waited until Pinchy had been plucked off Dash's back before recalling both her Fire types to their Pokeballs, running over to help Spike out and winced at hearing Starswirl's question.)

...We're fine. Thanks for helping, Starswirl.

(Just for added incentive, Rainbow tossed two more of her Pokeballs and both her Espeon and Kirlia appeared to keep Pinchy in place with their psychic abilities.)

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!

[Spike frantically blows on his hands, trying to cool them down while the others corral Pinchy. Pinchy, completely oblivious ~~or uncaring~~ about his trainer’s pain, is busy glaring at the Alakazam. If looks could kill, it would have been dead ten times over.

[Spike has an inspirational thought, and, grimacing with the pain, pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. A flash and his happy Horsea appears.]

Er….Water Gun?

[Sweet relief as his Horsea promptly delivers a water gun attack right at his hands.]

Try anything and I'll hurl you into the sea.

[Starswirl can glare right back at you, Pinchy. And he has the advantage of glowing eyes.

Twilight sighs at Spike's ingenuity.] That will hold off the pain a bit, but it won't heal anything. Come one, let's get you back to the inn so I can get those properly bandaged. Starswirl, can you carry him?

The bite-happy brat? He's light as a feather. Of course I could always knock him out to make things easier...

Haha, that might work best!

(Rainbow gave it some thought, then recalled her psychics; Starswirl had it under control. She did call out a much calmer Dash, who neighed softly and bent down for Spike to get back on.)

It'll be cool, Spike; I don't think she trusts your biting Pokemon, but you she trusts a lot! You can get on and won't have to worry about getting burned.

[Pinchy tosses his oversized head, not afraid of Starswirl’s threats. He’ll just bide his time. Payback will be sweet. Meanwhile, Spike’s eyes are checking over Dash for serious injury, a concerned expression on his face.

Sorry about Dash, Rainbow…uh…Dash. Man that sounds so weird…. Is she okay?

[He glares at Pinchy, who just ignores him. Sighing in defeat, he cautiously approaches Dash.]

You’re sure she’s okay with this?

[Starswirl is seriously considering doing something decidedly unpleasant to Pinchy, but restrains himself. He doesn't pick on the weak, after all.]

I kind of have to agree with Spike here. Is Dash really going to let him ride her so easily after what just happened?

[Ordinarily, Twilight would probably be a bit more trusting, but she has her assistant's health to look out for here.]

(Rainbow snorted in annoyance, crossing her arms while Dash nickered softly, nudging Spike with her snout when he got closer. The flames were cool to the touch, not at all flared up like earlier.)

Of course she will! It wasn't Spike who bit her; it was that walking antlion. She didn't mean to hurt him, Twilight.

[Spike inadvertently froze when Dash nudged him, afraid that he’d be burnt again, but visible relaxed when it seemed that wasn’t the case. He couldn’t reach up to pat her because of his hands, but he sort of headbutted her back with a grin.]

Well, at least she still seems to like me unlike Pinchy.

[Addressing Dash the Rapidash.]

I’m really sorry about Pinchy. I…uh…think he wanted to fight Twilight’s huge angry pokemon by himself like that would have gone well. I hope he didn’t hurt you too bad. I know what those monster jaws are like, believe me.

[Spike can’t use his hands to get up on Dash, and doesn’t want to make them worse by trying. Being short was the pits.]

Er…could you bend down a little? You’re too tall for me to get up on.

I'm tempted to say we should let him get stomped in to teach him a lesson, but I'm not actually sure that would work.

[A distressingly large amount of Pokemon seem to be incapable of learning from their mistakes, after all.]

Oh, here Spike, let me give you a boost.

[She kneels down next to Dash's flank and cups her hands for him to step into.]
