16th Spell: [Video/Action for Goldenrod]

[The feed clicks on to show Twilight hugging what looks like a spaceship with eyes. Looks like her Magneton finally evolved.]

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! Finally, my very own Magnezone!

[She practically giggles in glee, clambering up onto the top of her newly evolved Pokemon with a grin. The Magnezone waits for her to be settled on top of it, and then slowly rises up into the air.]

I am Twilight Sparkle, Captain of the Starship Tesla! Our mission is to search the cosmos for-

For...

Megasoma, Snails, what are you two doing with my gear?

[The feed suddenly clicks off.]

[she's trying to keep her muffled giggling quiet.]

[Siiiiiiigh.]

You may as well let it out, Fluttershy. I'm pretty sure a lot of the others aren't going to be so polite.

... I'm sorry.

It's fine, I'll live. I just can't believe these two decided to broadcast this all over the network. I've never been so embarrassed-

[Pause. She rethinks that for a moment.]

I've rarely ever been this embarrassed in all my life.

... I thought it was kind of cute.

... Sometimes there's a thin line between the two.

... Can I come play?

... If you want. We're just a little north of the city.

[You can be the ship's counselor, Shy.]

Yay.

[she smiles, and heads off!]

[By the time she shows up, Twilight will be on the ground, berating her two troublemakers while Tesla floats behind her, looking ominous.

Not deliberately, mind you, it's just kind of impossible for it not to.]

Seriously, what were you thinking? Did you just find it fun to embarrass me in front of whoever might be watching, is that it?

[The Heracross and Slowpoke both look rather sheepish. Snails's head lowers, while Megasoma twiddles his thumbs a bit.]

[Oh, dear. she quietly steps in.]

I think they're sorry, Twilight...

[Twilight practically jumps as she hears Fluttershy behind her, and turns her eyes to her in surprise before scowling again.]

It's not whether they're sorry or not that's the problem. It's whether I can trust them not to do it again.

What if they promise to never do it again...?

[At that suggestion, Megasoma folds his arms and snorts, not saying anything but looking clearly rebellious. Snails just sits there, yawns, and...]

Hey... Hey, Snails, are you going to sleep? I'm not done talking to-

[But the Slowpoke is already snoring. Twilight's eyebrow twitches.]

You. Oh you'd better believe we're continuing this when you wake up. [Snatching their balls of her belt, she recalls him, and then Megasoma.]

Thinks I'll forget while he's taking a nap... not likely.

[She frowns, shaking her head. Boo, bad mons.]

Maybe when they wake up, I should give them... the stare.

Aww, Fluttershy, you'd do that for me?

[You get a hug, Shy.]

[Yay hugs! She returns it.]

Of course I would... sometimes they need a little bit of discipline.

No kidding. They can get completely ridiculous if they're allowed to just do whatever they want.

But thankfully, we have some good examples for them to follow.

[She turns to Tesla, who blip bloops at them.]

[Flutters smiles at Tesla, very proud.]

It looks so amazing... no wonder you're so excited to see it evolved.

This is actually why I captured it in the first place, because of how amazing its final evolution is. Of course, Tesla's proven itself on my team plenty of times by now, haven't you my wonderful Pokemon?

[Tesla answers with a series of blips and boops, and nuzzles Twi as best a living spaceship can.]

[Awwww.]

It loves you so much! You have such a wonderful bond with your Pokemon!

[Laughing, Twilight pats Tesla gently and climbs back onto its back.]

Tesla's been supremely loyal to me almost since I first caught it. Even if no one can really understand what its saying, I can usually figure out what it wants.

[Fluttershy hesitates, not sure how to get on there.]

Even I have trouble understanding it sometimes... it's kind of like both an animal and a machine at the same time.

[Tesla responds by lowering its body closer to the ground, until the middle of its body is about at thigh level with Shy.]

Yeah... I'm not sure if that's universal among all the Magnezone line, or if Tesla's just unique. But either way, it's surprisingly simple to work around it. And it seems to understand what we say just fine.

[Fluttershy looks Tesla over, and then, very carefully, very slowly, begins climbing up.]

I hope it doesn't mind...
