[Aww, a newbie's first winter in the Pokemon world. That's what it sounds like anyway. Larry remembers his for sure.]
What I do is keep a Fire type with me while I fly. I wrap us both up so we stay warm.
The smaller the better if the Pokemon you fly on isn't very big.
