[It's late night when a set of images, clearly pictures in an old book, flicker by the gear. First one of Entei, then Raikou, then Suicune.

After the third one, the gear turns to show a very tired-looking Twilight Sparkle, bags under her eyes and all. She yawns, but shakes the sleep-fog out of her head.]

Given the current situation this may seem like an odd time for a question like this, but it's very linked with this town and my curiosity is just eating me alive here. Can anyone tell me anything about these three Pokemon? Particularly if anyone's been lucky enough to see them, I'd like to hear the story.

[She sighs and rubs one of her eyes.] Really glad the Centers have their own generators. Hope someone gets the Power Plant up and working again... anyone know anything about what's going on there? I'm guessing not since it's out of the way, but it's bugging me, so I thought I'd ask.

[As soon as she's got the filter up, Twilight starts looking more alert, wary, and worried. The bags under her eyes are still there though, so it's obvious she is tired, just full of nervous energy.]

This is a message to the Pokemon Guardian Corps at large from Squad Seven member Twilight Sparkle. I believe I may have discovered the source of the recent weather phenomena, and although my research into this issue isn't yet complete, this is important enough that I have elected to share this with all of you immediately.

As you may have guessed from the content of my post before now, my theory revolves around the three Legendary Beasts of Johto: Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. The legends I've been researching all agree that Suicune has the ability and, presumably, the desire to purify tainted waters. I think it's obvious that if that's true, the recent events would have awakened it. This explains the cold weather and the brief mist we experienced earlier, as these are signs of Suicune being on the move.

The full fury of the storms we're dealing with now would be the result of Suicune's influence mixing with Raikou's and Entei's. As to why Raikou and Entei would have been roused, I can only come to one conclusion: Suicune must have been lured into a trap and captured, and the other two are attempting to rescue it. I think it's obvious who would be behind a trap like that.

I feel it's necessary to point out that this is all only a hypothesis. Without visual confirmation of any of the Beasts it's impossible to prove. But everything seems to point to this chain of events. If I find any more evidence to prove or disprove this, I will let you all know immediately.

As to what we can do about this if it is indeed the case... that, I'm afraid I don't know. If any of you have suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing them.

You have? [Abruptly, there's a shift in her expression, and she starts looking eager and a lot more awake.]

That's great! Where? What was it like? Do you think it seemed upset?

[Wow! Wow! Wow! Too much eagerness! He holds the PokéGear a bit farther away for a moment like it's trying to bite him, then recovers and brings it closer again when she's done. She'll be able to see that he's in a side room in a Center.]

In "Cherrygrove", in front of the PokéCenter two days ago. It ran up while I was checking on the sandbag wall and stopped after I told it that the PokéCenter was a safe place to shelter from the storm. It looked like that picture you showed, just at least twice as tall as me. It was just like a normal sunny day near it. No clouds or rain.

[He smiles. He likes talking about animals, even if he never gets the chance to usually, and this one was really interesting.]

It didn't seem upset. It said it was searching for something and had to move quickly so there wasn't time for safety or shelter. Then it thanked me and ran off. It was different than any other animal I've talked to before. It was more like talking to a human than an animal. It would probably be interesting to talk to some more. I hope I see it again.

[Sorry, Apollo. She's just Excited about this for so many different reasons. She tones it down a bit after listening to his explanation, her expression receding to a more contemplative one.]

So its power is just like the legends say... And it was in a hurry, even if it wasn't upset or angry. How fast would you say it ran?

[He thinks for a moment. Explaining how fast something is isn't something he thinks to do much.]

It's hard to say. At least as fast as a bird diving towards the ground. I know I've never seen any animal who lives on the ground move that fast.

Incredible. Thank you, sir, you've been very helpful. Just one last question, if you don't mind. Which direction did it go?

It went right from the entrance, so away from the path I took to get here. [He'd say West, but the clouds kind of kept him from figuring out directions that way.]

Well, I don't know your name, so I don't really have anything else to call you...

West, then. So what it was looking for must be over in Kanto...

Never heard that word before.

[He shrugs slightly. He has no idea where anything is besides New Bark Town and Cherrygrove. (And I think I messed up on the directions, didn't I? orz)]

I told it I hoped it found whatever it was looking for. Not sure if it heard me though. It was pretty far away by then.

[Oh, yep, it should've been East. Eh, nevermind, we can just assume.]

Twilight Sparkle. It's good to meet you, Apollo.

[She nods slightly, looking worried for a moment.]

I hope it does, too. I really hope it does.

[fff- Yes, let's.]

[She gets no other response, not even a nod, before he ends the feed. Partly because even though the conversation was nice he's not convinced he's happy to have met a human, partly because he doesn't know how to properly end a conversation with someone he just met. He hasn't talked calmly like this with another human in two years, and before that he only talked to his grandfather, so yeah, hope she isn't too offended.]

[Well, that was... odd. She didn't really have anything else to say to him, but she was kind of expecting a goodbye. Maybe he was in a hurry?

Oh well. At least she got his name and his story first. Apollo... she'll have to remember that if they cross paths again.]
