19th Spell: [Video]

[The first thing the camera shows when the feed clicks on is the dopey face of a Slowbro. Snails peers into the lens for a few moments before very, very slowly winking at the gear and then pulling his head out of the way, showing the view of Twilight and Applejack sitting on a dock, fishing poles in hand. They're talking about something, but it's hard to hear with how far back the gear is.

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie, sporting a huge grin on her face (and slitted eyes that might make people who know both Pinkie Pie and Zoroarks wonder if this is the genuine article), starts sneaking up on them. Snails pops his head back in and raises a finger to his mouth in a shushing gesture as the other former pony gets closer to the two.

Suddenly AJ's line starts tugging. The two girls begin talking eagerly and excitedly enough to completely miss the third one sneaking up behind them. As Applejack tries to pull up her catch, Pinkie reaches out...

And promptly shoves them both off the pier, yelping. They fall out of the water and start shouting angrily as Pinkie Pie giggles merrily at them, then frolics off as they swim out after her. Twilight, however, stops when she reaches the shore and sees Snails and her gear. Growling something under her breath, she stalks over and picks up the device, glaring at it as she swipes her soaked bangs out of her eyes.]

There's two lessons to take from this. One, pay attention to your surroundings. Two, if you have Pokemon or friends who are prone to pranks, make sure they aren't left alone when you're trying to relax.

Now the question is, did he team up with the actual Pinkie or one of the Zoroarks we have...?

[Grumbling, Twilight turns off the gear as she stalks off to discipline some Pokemon and possibly a fellow pony.]

[Well. Good thing Apples float. AJ spits out some of the water she happened to swallow.]

...I wasn't plannin' on takin' two baths today.

(A third lesson is this one: always make sure you've located the real culprit when accusing someone -or somepony- since when Twilight does catch up, it's not with Pinkie Pie...

It's with Rainbow Dash?! And she seems to be giggling in much the same style as Pinkie was earlier.)

Well, at least no one will be able to accuse us of being unclean.

[She wrings a bit of water out of her black T-shirt and sighs.]

Looks like laundry day will have to be moved up a bit, too.

...An' here I was wonderin' what my plans were for this evenin'. [Snort.]

[Now, Twilight being Twilight, her immediate thought process is this.

Rainbow would only be giggling like that if she just pranked someone.

Therefore she was probably involved in that prank just now, despite being nowhere in sight when it happened.

She probably wouldn't be laughing like this if she hadn't actually seen it for herself, though.

Therefore, she was either in disguise or hiding (and the latter's unlikely, given that it's a beach).

So the most likely solution is...]

Rainbow, is that really you?

[friendyousohard]

I figured we'd probably be fishing a while longer, but evidently not... speaking of which, what did you catch, anyway?

[buckyouup]

[She holds the empty hook out of the water.]

I reckon I'll never know.

[Oh wait, yes you will. Suddenly, AJ yelps, nearly leaping out of the water. She kicks her leg into the air, a rather large Shellder clamped on tight.]

AJ!

[Twilight's eyes widen in shock at that yelp and she staggers back, falling on her rump in the water. She stares dumbly at the Shellder for a couple moments before tossing out a Pokeball.]

Aristo! Drain it until it lets go!

[The Serperior pops out, and obediently begins to Giga Drain the Shellder's health away (and hopefully, its ability to hold onto AJ's leg with it).]

(Twilight may or may not experience a double take as she watches 'Rainbow Dash' giggle a few more times before glowing and all of a sudden...

Twilight's staring at Twilight!?

So the answer to her question would have to be a resounding 'no.')

[During all the chaos, AJ manages to pry a pokeball from the pocket of her soaked jeans. With one last grunt of anguish, she punches it into the monster's shell. In a flash of light, her leg was free.]

[There's a brief pause as Twilight just stares at her mirror image, blinking in surprise, then groans.]

Well that answers that. So you're either Smooze, Rascal, or Trickster, and I'm betting on one of the latter. Do I need to get your trainer over here?

[friendyousohard]

[While she's definitely relieved as soon as she sees the Shellder pop into the ball, Twilight's not even remotely finished worrying yet.]

Oh Celestia, AJ, your leg...

[She scrambles to her feet and offers her a steadying hand, looking down to try to assess the damage.]

How bad is it?

[buckyouup]

I-It ain't broken, if that's what you're askin'.

[But... there seems to be an issue with the blood.]

(Action)

(Trickster lets out what seems to be a sigh before glowing once more and revealing herself, heading over to a location not too far from where Twilight and Applejack had been.

She'll find the real Rainbow Dash stretched out on the beach with 'Gear in hand -next to a sleeping Daring- and laughing quite loudly.)

Hahahahahahahahahaha, that was just PERFECT! We couldn't have done any better! Still doesn't mean we won't try next time...

[friendyousohard]

No, it's just bruised awfully and you're definitely bleeding. Come on, let's get you to the center.

[She'll finish dealing with Snails and his partner later. Right now, there's a more important matter at hand.]

Lean on me. I'm not all that strong, but I can at least help a little.

[buckyouup]

I-I can walk just fine. Just... can't put all my weight on it, is all.

(Action)

Well, it's nice to know that in advance.

[Have a dripping, folded arms Twilight looming over you, Rainbow. She scowls irritably, her attention quite diverted from Trickster for the moment.]

Then let me help you keep that weight off of it. I don't want you worsening that injury.

(Action)

(Aww, horsefeathers! Rainbow glances up to see Twilight with a familiar scowl, quickly offering her most 'sincere' smile.)

Eheh, 'sup Twilight? Catch any good Pokemon?

[buckyouup]

...Alright. But only because it hurts so bad.

[She puts her arm around her, carefully applying her weight to her smaller friend, as not to knock her over.]

Well, Applejack caught a Shellder...

With her shin.

[Judging by her grimace, it was as painful as it sounds.]

Seeing as how that's why I'm offering in the first place, I'm fine with that answer.

[She moves an arm around AJ's midsection and begins to help her hobble up the beach.]

Ooh...she's gonna be okay, right?

(The hilarity of the prank faded a bit, Rainbow's concern for her friend quite visible on her face.)

She'll live. We got her to the Center and the nurses bandaged her up, so she should heal up in a few days.

I'm just glad it wasn't a Tentacool. Do you have any idea how poisonous the tentacles on those things are?

[She shudders visibly at the thought.]
