[The gear clicks on in the middle of a room in the Pokemon Center. Someone's clearly using it, since the sheets are rumpled and the monitoring gear seems to have seen recent use, but no one's in the bed at the moment.

There's a splashing sound nearby, muffled by a door. The gear is moving very, very slowly towards that door.]

Mmmmmmffff... huh?

[Someone appears to have just woken up behind said door, as well.]

A-AJ...?

Um... h-hey there, Sugarcube. You sure had one crazy sleep, didn't ya?

I did...? Where am I? What's going on...?

[The gear is about halfway to the door at this point.]

You passed out on us right 'bout the time we got into Celadon. We were all real worried about you.

Passed out...? The comas!

[Twilight's voice suddenly gets much stronger and there's the sound of a sudden splash, as though she's just moving around in a pool of water.]

I had one! I went back home! Well... sort of. You know what I mean, right?

I... think so?

I saw so much... My brother, and Cadence, the Crystal Empire, even Discord, there's so much to... Um, AJ?

Discord? What in tarnation's he doin' back? We sealed him up for good!

I'll explain that in a moment, but first... what were you doing just before I woke up?

... Givin' you a bath.

[The gear has almost reached the door, when suddenly a large yellow foot slams down in front of it. It wobbles and falls to the ground, showing an Alakazam glaring down at a Slowpoke, which was carrying the gear.]

And what do you think you're doing?

[The gear floats up into Starswirl's hand...]

Apologies to any who saw this and wanted to speak to my trainer. She is currently occupied, but will be with you shortly.

[And clicks off.]

A few moments later...

[The gear clicks on to show a wet haired and slightly bedraggled Twilight.]

Ah, hello everyone. It seems I've encountered one of those week-long sleeps that we go into on occasion, and gotten some new memories of home. Honestly, it feels a bit strange to be back here... but I'll adjust soon enough. If anything important has happened in the past week, I'd appreciate it if somepo- someone could let me know.

... Also, if anyone has any ideas as to how to curb the tendencies of some Pokemon to abscond with peoples' gear and pull, or try to pull, obnoxious pranks on their trainers and others, I'd love to hear them.

Rainbow likes Daring well enough, at least. I'm not going to try to convince her of the values of the rest of the type.

Discord reforming, Trixie apologizing...lots of weird stuff's happened back home, hasn't it?

Lasso's already one a' the strongest grass-types there are. You... just gotta convince her that, sometimes.

About a year...? Well, it's not as though time here ever matches up to time back home in any discernible way. Do you know if people have had less than a week pass for them in their own worlds despite being asleep for a week here?

[If at all possible, he'd really like to be back before the end of the Grail War so he can put Ideas into motion...]

...what, really? Is there some way you can keep him awake for it?

[NOW she has the sigh of relief.]

Thank goodness... What a terrifying adventure... But I guess as long as I know it turns out okay, I can go through it, eventually...

I... haven't actually heard of that, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Like you said, the odds of any sort of correlation are minimal.

[She sighs at the thought, rolling her eyes.]

I wish. If I had a Pokemon with the move Uproar, maybe, but then I'd have to talk to him through that cacophony. As it stands I'm basically talking to a wall. I've taken to putting him in his ball every time he does it, but that hasn't improved things so far.

No kidding. I'm almost worried to find out what happens next.

Don't worry, I take care of most of the scary stuff. You girls are in charge of keeping the crystal ponies spirits up, and you do a wonderful job.

[Of course, they do have to contend with shadow Sombra, but that mostly involved just staying away from him.]

That's not the strangest thing we've gone through since then, though. Probably the most intense, but I think Discord's return was even weirder, largely because of how it turned out.

Aristo has the opposite problem. Absolutely convinced he can take on everything and utterly self-important about it. Fortunately he's not as given to bragging as Megasoma is, but still...

Are you kidding? I can't wait to find out what happens next! If you went through weird stuff like that, what I go through must be awesome!

Oh, you already went to the Wonderbolts Academy. I don't think things can get much more exciting than that for you.

[Yes, she deliberately held this info back just for Rainbow's reaction.]

...! The Wonderbolts Academy?! Really? You mean I made it in?

(She's totally squeeing with excitement, jumping up and doen a few times at the news.)

Well, I'm not sure how good my advice is, but I find that putting collars and leashes on solid animals that misbehave can sometimes help teach them to stop.

[Reid frowns, but that's not exactly visible on an audio feed.] Are you okay? Did you see anything upsetting?

Do you have a Pokemon with the move Skill Swap and the ability Insomnia, by any chance? Or one Pokemon with Skill Swap and one Pokemon with Insomnia, anyway. Skill Swap allows a Pokemon to switch abilities with its target, so I assume it might be possible to arrange that, even if there's a somewhat convoluted process to it.

[... i'm sorry, what was that last thing?]

Dis... Discord?! Discord's return?!

[And now she looks absolutely terrified, and she even looks around for a place to hide.]

There ain't much worse than a headstrong pokey-mon.

[Except maybe a headstrong trainer, Applejack?]

[Sympathy pat on the shoulder. Poor AJ, having to deal with the likes of Dozer.]

None of mine actually disobey me in battle, thankfully... Snails just doesn't listen outside of it.

Fluttershy, he's not here with us! And even if he was, it actually turned out remarkably well!

I thought you'd be pleased. Yep, you made it in, even got praise from Spitfire herself.

[She's stroking Rainbow's ego and she knows it, but she can't help it. She's so adorable jumping around and squeeing like this.]

It's not a problem I gotta worry 'bout for most of them. But Dozer... he's a challenge.

Sadly, neither of those, though I'll take it under advisement as a way to deal with him once I fix that. In fact, I could probably use that as punishment for him and Sapphire... though Sapphire doesn't usually give me a reason to punish her.

[She'll keep the video off if if makes him feel better.] Collars and leashes... I can try that. You think it's more effective than putting them in the ball for a while?

Well, I can't really complain too much. There were some intense moments, but everything turned out all right in the end.

Do you know what the source of his problem with you is? I mean, he's pretty unpleasant in general, but sometimes it seems like he legitimately hates you.

He seems t'hate everypony, I just happened t'be the one who puts him back in his ball when he gets too destructive.
