These are Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, the three Legendary Beasts of Johto. They're linked to the Burned Tower here in Ecruteak, and as a result there's a bunch of information here about them. I've been researching them while I'm stuck here due to the storm, and they're really quite fascinating.
